Page Specifications:
Broadsheet - 10 columns per page with a depth of 301 agate lines (21 3/4") The printed page area is 11 1/2" x 21 3/4".
Long Tabloid - 9 columns per page with a depth of 224 agate lines (16") The printed page area is 10 3/8" x 16".
Column Widths:
One column is 6.6 picas or 1 1/16".
Two columns are 13.6 picas or 2 1/4 ".
Three columns are 20.6 picas or 3 3/8".
Four columns are 27.6 picas or 4 9/16".
Five columns are 34.6 picas or 5 11/16".
Six columns are 41.6 picas or 6 7/8".
Seven columns are 48.6 picas or 8 1/16".
Eight columns are 55.6 picas or 9 3/16".
Nine columns are 62.6 picas or 10 3/8".
Ten columns are 69.6 picas or 11 1/2".
Deadlines for display advertising are 4 p.m. - 2 days prior for The Sun Times and 4 p.m. on Tuesday for Fridays weekly Shop Grey Bruce.
ELECTRONIC AD DELIVERY:
The Sun Times will accept electronic delivery of ads that have been created using compatible software. The Sun Times reserves the right to substitute fonts when fonts are not included or are not compatible. Every effort will be made to match the font as close as possible.
QuarkXpress 4.0 - all fonts, graphics, tiffs etc. must be included. (Please use the collect for output feature.)
Illustrator EPS - fonts must be converted to paths.
Photoshop - Tiff, EPS, or JPEG
Adobe Acrobat - PDF - fonts embedded and a resolution of at least 300 dpi.
